Edvard Munch

Edvard Munch is an expressionist artist most famous for his Iconic painting "The Scream". A painting that visualizes fear, and also captures the anxieties of modern life at the turn of the last century. Apart from "The Scream" all of Munch's paintings capture very specific feelings; those of loneliness, sadness, lost love, and other meloncholic moods.
Edvard Munch lived a sad, sick, lonely life. Death surrounded as did illness. He lost most of his family while he was young. He had many distastrous love affairs. Yet his pain inspired his painting. He said, "Without fear and illness, I could never have accomplished all that I have."
